About Grace Academy
Grace Academy was founded by Professor Elizabeth Cox. Elizabeth has over thirty years of experience working with children both in a clinical setting and in the community. It has been her dream nearly all her career to find a place where students could thrive and learn in the very best way possible. She and her husband homeschooled all three of their children and she fell in love with alternative ways to educate children. After much prompting from local school districts and parents, Grace Academy was born.
Our founder started Encompass to serve the area's most vulnerable students. Having worked at Cincinnati Children's pediatric psychiatry department for almost 20 years, she knew the need in the community was great. She is now training and teaching staff through Encompass at Grace Academy, in local school districts and as a professor at Thomas More University. Encompass focuses on interventions based on the neuroscience of learning and behavioral management.
Grace Academy grew from the growing needs of vulnerable students post-COVID, and we are excited to be offering in-home and on-site school based services to students in Greater Cincinnati. We offer individual tutoring, speech therapy, behavioral supports, peer mentoring, executive functioning coaching, experiential learning, equine assisted therapy/learning and much more!
